After Years of Putting it Off, I Finally Got My Motorcycle License This Weekend
Hey friends, Matt James here. It's something I've always talked about doing and now I have finally done it. I got my motorcycle license this weekend.
Sure, I may have a few miles of illegal riding under my belt, as did several other people I attended class with over the weekend. But let me tell you, your luck will eventually run out if you wide that way.
I've tried for years to get my license but it has never worked out because I'm so intertwined into the Maine wedding industry, that my schedule never aligned with any courses around here. Either that, or the courses were full.
Finally I was able to get into an awesome 3-day course with Mike Perkins and the crew up at KMD Driving School in Winslow. We had a few hours of class on Friday night, followed by hands-on riding and a skills test Saturday and Sunday.
It was SO much fun! And, the things you learn really are crazy. As someone who has ridden before and has a Class-A commercial license, I thought I knew everything there was to know about safety on the road. Boy was I wrong.
If you are interested in obtaining your Motorcycle endorsement, or maybe you're a longtime rider who just wants a safety refresher, contact the team at KMD Driving School and get setup with a course!
I will urge you to do it soon though. As you can imagine, because of popularity, these classes have a tendency to fill up VERY quickly.
See you on the road, friends!
