Why You’ll Need 25 Cents to Shop at New Hampshire’s Newest Aldi
Attention Shoppers! A beloved grocery store is making its way to Seabrook, New Hampshire and this may just be your new favorite grocery store, according to Seacoast.
The Seabrook planning board just gave the go-ahead for a brand-new Aldi to open on Route 1, right next to Hobby Lobby!
The store will be located in the Waterstone development and will be just under 20,000 square feet.
The store will of course include Aldi’s signature look and you won’t miss it while your driving down Lafayette Road because of their 26 foot huge tower.
Once the door has opened the hours will be 9am-8pm.
Oh! And here’s something amazing, they are adding over 500 parking spots that will give you 1,000 choices for parking. No more circling the parking lot 15 times.
That in and of itself is a relief.
Aldi shoppers know of the chain for their low low prices and the closest store to this location right now is in Plaistow, but soon Seabrook will also have fun!
As per the article, Aldi is actually a privately owned company by two German brothers, Karl and Theo Albrecht and they officially turned this once small grocery store into a chain back in 1946.
Why You’ll Need a Quarter to Shop at Aldi
But here’s the thing, you’ll need to bring a quarter to play or shop. Yep in order to shop, you’ve gotta pop out 25 cents.
Don’t worry though, you will indeed get it back when you return your cart. I guess it’s part of a really clever cost-saving strategy.
By requiring customers to insert a quarter to unlock there cart, Aldi avoids hiring staff to collect stray carts from the parking lot.
This is super smart in my opinion. Because it’s going to save the company money, and encourage shoppers to be good with their cart returns.
