April the Giraffe, who is loved by millions of people all around the world as they've live streamed her enclosure for weeks on end waiting for her to calve her precious new babies has lost one of them.

According to WMTW, the calf died unexpectedly on Tuesday during an examination by a veterinarian. The baby Giraffe named, Azizi, died from what officials say was an unpreventable condition where the animal's gut was twister around one of the arteries. There was nothing they could do to save the animal. Staff at the Animal Adventure Park at the East Texas Zoo and Gator Park say that the loss is 'absolutely devastating'.

What makes this even more difficult for millions across the globe is that April and calves have captivated so many people over the years. She isn't just any old Giraffe,  and people literally feel love for the calves that she bears.

This is a sad blow to many around the world who have loved watching April go through her pregnancy and eventually give birth to these beautiful, all be them stumbly, long-neck creatures.
