Bates College Student Hit by Vehicle in Campus Crosswalk
According to Yahoo News, a Bates College student was struck by a car Saturday night, while crossing the street on campus.
The article states that 21 year old Max Cavarallo was crossing the street after 10:00pm on Saturday night when he was hit by an automobile while walking on the crosswalk located at Russell Street and Bardwell Street in Lewiston, according to police.
Derrick St. Laurent, who is the public information officer for the Lewiston Police Department reported that the vehicle was driven by 42 year old, Matt Morneau.
It's unsure as of now where Cavarallo was on the crosswalk when he was hit. He obtained minor injuries and was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, according to St. Laurent.
It is reported in this article, that the driver of the vehicle, Moreau, was not hurt.
As of right now, the accident is currently under investigation, according to Officer St. Laurent.
