Been Enjoying The Warm Weather? Worry Not, Thursday Looks to be Nasty in Maine!
How spoiled have we been the last week or so, amiright? Especially since lots of us have been on vacation between Christmas and the New Year holiday. Let me put it this way- During the last winter storm we had my mailbox post got snapped in half and I was convinced I wouldn't be able to put a new one until spring because of the frozen ground. However, the weather got so sunny and warm over the weekend that I was actually able to go out and put a new one in. Of course my driveway turned to mush, too, and that kind of sucked. But beggars and choosers.
But worry not my people, the weather is going to take a dreary turn, at least for a little bit, tomorrow night into Thursday. According to WGME 13 our mild weather pattern begins to get disrupted as a new cold front moves into the region during the evening on Wednesday.
With that cold front will come precipitation and, depending on the exact temperature where you are in the state, that precipitation could come in many different forms. While people along the mid-coast and downeast can expect a mixed bag, folks down in extreme Southern Maine are likely to see all rain.
Central Maine looks to be on the fine line between snow showers and mixed precipitation.
But, that's not all folks! WGME says that on Thursday evening into Friday, another round of precip is going to make it's way through the reeg. (region)
Though the second round of end-of-week precipitation looks to be mostly snow, WGME says that they're not expecting it to be too impactful for the state.
