Chilling Thrills Return to Maine at the Belfast Ice Festival This Weekend
The Belfast Ice Festival is gearing up for its 4th annual event this weekend! Starting this Friday, February 23-25, they are set to dazzle downtown Belfast, according to WABI.
They are anticipating about 2,000 attendees at this year's event, and are promising it to be bigger and better than ever!
Amanda Cunningham is the executive director of Our Town Belfast and she spoke about the explosive growth of the festival in 2022. Amanda emphasized the positive impact such events have on local businesses, providing a much-needed boost during the shoulder season.
This year, the festival has 14 magical ice sculptures, according to the article. They also have ice bars!
Local business-owner Tina DelSanto, who also volunteers for the event, said that, “It’s all ages, all genres. There is something for everybody,”
The Belfast Restaurant Group presents the festival and will offer yummy foods and drink with downtown restaurants serving up wonderful dishes for all!

You can even join in on the fun, and whether you're a pro ice carver or an amateur, you're invited to show your sculpting skills. A panel of esteemed guest judges will evaluate all creations, with cash prizes awarded to the top three winners.
