Body Of Missing Maine Woman Found In Ossipee River
According to WMTW the body of 28 year old Sarah McCarthy, of Sebago, has been located.
McCarthy's body was found in her Subaru, which was submerged in the Ossipee River.
The vehicle was initially spotted by some passing by on Elm Street and Federal Road.
Investigators say evidence at the scene makes them believe she was speeding and failed to make a turn, causing her car to go over a snowbank and into the river.
McCarthy had not been seen since she left work at Cornish's The Fairgrounds Pub on Friday evening. The last contact people had with her was in the form of a phone call after midnight on Saturday morning. During that call, she reportedly sounded disoriented and said she didn't know where she was and that she was cold.
Medical examiners will work to determine a cause of death.
