Bust Out The Sundresses & Khaki Shorts, Folks, Central Maine Finna’ Be Toasty Warm This Week
Finna is basically just slang for the phrase 'fixing to'. So instead of 'I'm fixing to mow the lawn later this afternoon', one might simply say 'Yo beesh, big dad is 'finna cut the grass later'. Does it make me sound stupid? Absolutely. Do I care? Kind of.
Anyway, what the hell was the original point of this article? Oh, right, the weather. I feel like all April long we were just stuck with mid-March feeling weather, despite the fact we had moved into Springtime. Then it took a week of being into May to finally get some April-feeling weather. Well, get ready, because the second week of May is shaping up to feel like early June- and we're not mad about it.
According to the forecast for the Central Maine region, the temperatures will be progressively getting warmer all week long. Starting with today and tomorrow, we will see a mix of sun and clouds with highs into the mid 60s. As we approach midweek, the temps will climb into the mid 70s by Thursday afternoon and should be accompanied by all sunshine.
As we get to Friday, temperatures in Central Maine could potentially touch 80. While the forecast that far out is still a little touch-and-go, that would definitely give us a little taste of summer in the early parts of May. And, to be quite frank, I think most of us Central Mainers would be okay with that at this point, am I right?
We will continue to follow the weather updates and let you know if might even be WARMER than we're already expecting this week. Until then, get those pools opened up and those campers loaded because.... it's almost time!
