Sure, summer does not officially start until June 21st, but most of us are in full summer mode by the second week of June, right?  So, it really would not be all that strange to celebrate the start of beginning of summer in Maine by throwing a big party a few days early?  Like, maybe on Saturday, June 17th?  Yeah, we did not think so, either!

That's why we plan to be at the Beats & Eats Food Truck Festival on Bangor's Waterfront.

This tasty event is put on by our sister stations in Bangor and it keeps getting better every single year!

Just like in year's past, there will be a great selection of food trucks to get food from.  These include Chick-fil-A, Jeff's Jamaican Cuisine, Melt, Pompeii Pizza, Little Red Snack Shack, Mainely Pastures, Pinky D's Poutine, Smoke & Steele, This Lil' Piggy, Swamp Yankee BBQ, Wanderlust Coffee, Wing Dingahs, and more.

The Facebook event post goes on to say:

Some of the best food trucks in the state will be there and you'll get a chance to vote for your favorite truck to help them win cash prizes in the People's Food Truck of the Year Awards!

Plus, there'll be adult beverages available for purchase

In addition to serving up food, Smoke & Steele will be there with axe throwing and there'll be a bunch of great bands all day long.

At the time of the writing of this article, general admission tickets were only $15.  Kids under 2 are free.  Get your tickets HERE
