Central Maine Middle & High School Closed Today (Monday) Due to a Threat of Violence

According to an article from WGME 13, a middle school and a high school are closed today (Monday, October, 31st) due to an apparent violent threat.

WGME is reporting that Maranacook Middle And High Schools are going to be closed today after a threat of violence that came in via a text message on Sunday afternoon.

WGME reported that the school district contacted area police to help determined the validity and credibility of the threat. Sadly, the school had to cancel that planned Halloween events that had been scheduled for Sunday evening.

Though the school is closed today (Monday) it is expected that the middle and high schools will reopen as normal tomorrow.
