Central Maine Restaurant Named Best Cocktail Bar In State
Over the last few decades, the State of Maine has really become known for its eating and dining establishments. In nearly every city and town, from Portland to Bangor (and beyond), you'll find amazing restaurants and pubs. Not only do these places serve up fresh seafood, great burgers, and unbelievable desserts, they often have mixologists putting out creative (and beautiful) cocktails.
Sometimes, those establishments are kind of hidden. You know, the kind of place you might walk by if you didn't know about their offerings.
One of these "hidden" establishments is in downtown Augusta and it was just voted the best cocktail bar in the state.
According to a post on the State Lunch Facebook page, the relative new establishment was just voted Best Cocktail Bar in The State by Maine Magazine.
Additionally, one of the establishment's bartenders, Brittany Parlin, was named Best Bartender in The State.
The post says, in part:
Happy to announce that State Lunch was named “Best cocktail Bar in Maine” in the inaugural Maine Magazine Food + Drink awards! It was an honor to even be included as a finalist among some amazing beverage programs. Super proud of our entire team and especially Brittany Parlin who took home “Best Bartender” and deserves it as much as anyone ever!
If you have never had the chance to have a meal or drinks at State Lunch, you need to! In addition to the creative cocktails, the kitchen puts out some amazing food like their several varieties of ramen. So good!
