So far eight weeks not smoking and still going. It's been two months this Wednesday, not to get ahead of myself. I’m still chewing the 2mg gum and no real desire to start smoking again. The oil tank needs oil, Christmas is almost here and it really isn’t in the budget, not like it ever was, but the budget’s tighter now.

There are still occasions when I want a cigarette but I keep telling myself, they’re pointless and bad for your health. The reality is that smoking is getting harder and harder to do in private and in public. For example, Mac’s post from earlier today regarding the ban at school bus stops. Not that I would ever smoke in that environment but it just shows that it’s not getting easier, just harder.

Like I said in my last post, I want to be off all nicotine replacement by January 1st, 2013. My New Years resolution if you will. That is also my wife’s birthday, so I can’t think of a better gift that would mean more to her.
