The 5th Annual Empty Bowls To Fight Hunger Is Back In Augusta, Maine
The 5th Annual Empty Bowls to Fight Hunger fundraiser for the Bread of Life soup kitchen will take place on March 31 at 5:30 p.m. at the Augusta Elks Lodge #964. Now in its fifth year, the event continues to grow each year in both attendance and overall impact, showing a strong and growing commitment from the community to help address hunger across the region.
Guests will enjoy a variety of locally prepared soups and fresh bread, along with a handcrafted artisan pottery bowl created by Kennebec Pottery. The evening will also include an ice cream dessert station sponsored by Hershey’s Ice Cream and live music from Archie, helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for attendees.
Beyond the food and entertainment, the event draws attention to the ongoing issue of food insecurity in Maine. Fundraisers like Empty Bowls play an important role in supporting organizations such as Bread of Life, which provide meals and essential resources to individuals and families in need.
