Family of Maine Woman Who Died at Smalls Falls is Asking For Your Help
29 year old Lewiston Woman, Tanisha Barry, fell to her death on Sunday at Smalls Falls in Franklin County this weekend, according to WGME News Channel 13.
The tragic accident took place when she reportedly got too close to the edge while in a pool of water above the waterfalls. The fall was 30 feet and as the article states, due to the turbulent waters, her friends were unable to see her.
This took place at 4:30pm on Saturday, May 7th. Officials that were called to the seen were the Maine Warden Service, Rangeley Fire and Rescue, Phillips Fire and Rescue, Strong Fire and Rescue, and Franklin County Search and Rescue.
They did find her body and used utilizing ropes and a litter to pull her out, according to the article. They then brought her to the Wiles Funeral Home in Farmington and as the article states.
Family and friends have now set up a GoFundMe account to help with the cost of funeral arrangements.
Tanisha is a mother of 4 children, two girls and two boys. The GoFundMe states,

We have 48 hours to come up with 1500.00 for cremation and we need your help.Her babies, mother, and her two sisters would like a necklace of her to keep her by their hearts forever. Anything helps and will be used appropriately in keeps sakes and relocating her children such as u-hauls, food, clothing, etc. Recipes will be kept and furnished upon request. If needed.
The page was created on Sunday and family are asking for a donation goal of $3,000 and have currently raised $690.
