A 38-year-old federal employee from Maryland was issued a formal reprimand accusing him of "conduct unbecoming a federal officer," due to continual flatulence in the workplace.

The five page reprimand accused him of releasing an awful and unpleasant odor in the Baltimore office, within the confines of his cubicle, which is without closed walls or a ceiling.

The man blamed his gassy spells on a medical issue but evidence he submitted did not prove to his supervisors that he had an uncontrollable condition.

According to the reprimand letter at The Smoking Gun, employees even provided dates and times that the odorous assaults occurred.

According to the letter, the man is creating a hostile work environment and his, arguably, controllable condition is causing people not to want to assist him.
