Flooding Causes Central Maine Road Closures

The massive rains that have fallen in Central Maine have led to a number of road closures due to flooding.The speed limits on the Maine Turnpike have been reduced to 45MPH from Augusta to Bangor due to the road conditions and possibilities of hydroplaning on wet roads.

As the evening commute begins, the Maine Department of Transportation has an interactive map that gives a complete, up-to-date picture of road closings, speed reductions and other hazards.
