With our local healthcare systems under so much stress and pressure from the COVID-19 pandemic, it's even more appreciated when local organizations stand up to back those that are on the front line.

Matt James had a conversation earlier in the week with the founder of Free Me From Lung Cancer, Deb Violette, and she indicated her organization had already sent grants to local hospitals to help purchase more personal protective equipment for staff.

Deb went on to say,

"Free ME from Lung Cancer just sent grants to Mercy Hospital and Maine General Health to be used to secure N95 masks, gowns and other essential supplies necessary to help protect their first line medical personal. We will continue to look for ways to help our community during this time."

Thank you so much for your awesome contributions to our healthcare workers!
