Here’s How Augusta Students Can Get Free School Supplies
As Summer comes to an end, the 2020 / 20221 school is quickly approaching
As sad as it is to see Summer ending, I'm excited and hopeful that kids will have a semi-normal upcoming school year. What is not so exciting is the long list of school supplies that need to be purchased.
Several local businesses and communities are coming together to lighten the financial burden that even simple things like school supplies can add a ton of stress to an already stressful situation.
According to a Facebook post made by Cony Middle and High School, there is a Greater Augusta Back to School event happening at the Augusta Civic Center. The event is Sunday, August 15th, from 1 to 3 pm. Each child will receive a backpack filled with school supplies.
Families are encouraged to show up but are asked to remain in their cars, and a volunteer will direct you to the location based on the child's age. Children receiving supplies MUST be present.
