Happy 44th Birthday, Molly Ringwald!

We’ve all had Hollywood crushes, right? One from my youth was Molly Ringwald. It just so happens today, February 18, 2014 she turns 44!

If I had to pick my favorite Ringwald role it would have to be, “Andie” from ‘Pretty in Pink’

In Pretty in Pink, she plays a high school senior being raised by a single dad in the poor part of town and ends up with a rich date for the prom but with that comes all of the peer pressure and drama that is high school. Ringwald’s (Andie's) best two friends are “Duckie” played by Jon Cryer and "Iona" played by Annie Potts.

I also loved Ringwald in ‘The Breakfast Club’ as “Claire.” Great movie, very good ending, but not sure if it’s the best ending as stated in ‘Pitch Perfect’.

‘Sixteen Candles’ was a fun movie; ‘The Pickup Artist’ was probably the one that I remember liking the least.

I think tonight when I get home, might just be a Molly Ringwald, John Hughes movies kind of night.
