Have You Ever Contested Ticket for a Moving Violation in Court and Won?
Last July, July 24th to be exact, I was driving into work and overlooked my expired inspection sticker. I was pulled over in Monmouth on Route 202 on the Monmouth/Winthrop line and got a ticket or I guess in my case a summons for $133 for an expired sticker.
As I do with all my moving violations I contested it and as usual over the past almost eight months I forgot about the infraction until I got the court date in the mail.
Friday the 13th (March 13th) I have my court date, bright and early at 8:30 am. I fully expect to pay some sort of a fine but I'm hoping to chat with the DA beforehand in hopes of getting something lowered. Honestly a deal on the points would be better than a lesser fine.
I'm thinking my day at the courthouse will make for a good post. With this story I'm setting the table for 3/13/15.
Are you allowed to take pictures in the courthouse? I can't remember.
