Summer is traditionally a time when blood donations slow down.  I get it…with all that summer fun it can a little hard to plan the extra time to donate blood. BUT it is so important.  Blood donations are important for so many reason.

Maybe it someone battling cancer, a mom or premature baby facing complications after birth or accident victims in the ER.

They all may need lifesaving blood at any minute. What if their blood type was not available.

A, B, O and AB blood types are needed.  Blood does not have a long shelf life so a regular rotation of donations are need to keep up with the need.

You can help…make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the free Red Cross Blood Donor App, visiting RedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
