Like a lot of people I know, I am obsessed with keeping an eye on Maine, New Hampshire, & Massachusetts' real estate market.  Given the way the market has really exploded over the last few years, I am now paying even more attention to real estate sites like Sotheby's and Realtor.com.

Earlier today, I was on Realtor.com, scrolling through the newest listings when something strange caught my eye.

It was a multi-million dollar property that had a VERY unique look to it.  Even though it was listed under properties in Maine, it did not look like any home I have EVER seen in Maine - or the rest of New England, for that matter.

Anxious to see where in Maine this wild mansion was located, I clicked into the listing.  Well, it looks like it is not in Maine at all...  Actually, the place isn't even located in the United States.

According to Realtor.com, the 7,500 square foot mansion is actually located in Tepoztlan, Mexico!  It has 5 bedrooms (2 of which are in separate bungalows), 7 bathrooms, and a really unique triangular dining room.  It also has a large pool and a jacuzzi tub.

It is in an absolutely beautiful spot.  It sits on nearly 1 1/2 acres of land.

Take a look...

Mansion In Mexico

So, why did it end up in the Maine real estate listings?  My theory is that someone wrote "ME" under location to indicate Mexico, but the "ME" was taken to mean Maine.  Not sure if it was operator error or coding error.  Regardless, sadly, this beautiful mansion is not in Maine.

If you are looking for a really unique that actually is in the State of Maine, this could be the perfect place for you!

The Castle In Turner

Located in Turner, Maine, the castle has 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bedrooms, one car garage, and more. As of February of 2022, the list price is $325,000. Get more details HERE
