According to WMTW, a person in Bangor was injured when the dumpster they were sleeping in was picked up by a garbage truck.

The homeless person was discovered in the back of the truck, when people passing by heard cries coming from the vehicle, at around 5:30 Friday morning.  The person was removed and taken to the hospital where they were treated for non life threatening injuries.  The garbage truck's driver did not realize anyone was in the dumpster.

It's very sad that anyone should have to find shelter inside a dumpster.  You can help by making donations to local shelters like: Bread Of Life Ministries, Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter, or Saint Martin De Porres
