According to an article on the WGME website, a man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he fired a gun inside a Raymond home, drove while intoxicated, and rammed a sheriff's deputy's cruiser during a pursuit Saturday evening.

According to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the area of Edwards and Mountain roads just before 7 PM after receiving a report that 44-year-old Aaron Thompson had fired two shots inside a residence while intoxicated.

Deputies said Thompson left the scene before they arrived.

Authorities quickly located Thompson driving a vehicle and attempted to pull him over. According to investigators, he refused to stop, leading deputies on a pursuit.

The sheriff's office said the chase continued onto Edwards Road, where Thompson allegedly rammed the front driver's side of a marked deputy cruiser.

Investigators said Thompson stopped his vehicle a short distance later and was taken into custody without further incident.

The incident remains under investigation, and no additional information has been released.
