It's no secret that we have a loud and proud foodie population here in New England, and with good reason. Our restaurant industry is killing it, and there's never a shortage of new establishments opening their doors to the public. You can never run out of places to visit for your next dining experience, especially in Massachusetts.

When it comes to highlighting the best establishments around, no one does a better job than LoveFood. From discussing the nation's top restaurants to sharing recipes, news, and commentaries, LoveFood is a foodie's digital paradise.

The site recently shared their findings on the most extravagant, over-the-top desserts in every state, including Massachusetts. When we heard about this, we were all ears. After all, who can say no to dessert?

LoveFood's selection for the best dessert in the Bay State comes from none other than Double Chin in Boston.

Situated in the heart of Chinatown, Double Chin specializes in authentic Chinese dishes served with a modern twist, according to the restaurant's website. The menu is inspired by the Chinese American identities of the founders, the Chin sisters.

In addition to offering "creative small bites, glorified comfort food classics, and also traditional Hong Kong dishes", Double Chin is especially famous for their signature dessert, featured on Travel Channel, Phantom Gourmet, Insider Food, and now, LoveFood.

Introducing, cube toast.

You may be wondering, "What the heck is cube toast?" In summary, it's French toast, but elevated to a whole other level. Here's how LoveFood explains it.

Cube Toast takes French toast to new, sugary heights. The famous dish sees brioche toast hollowed out and filled with myriad fillings and toppings. The Muddy Madness option, for example, includes a mix of chocolate ice cream, fruit, mochi, Frosted Flakes, Pocky, M&M's, chocolate sauce, and condensed milk.

According to a Facebook post from Double Chin, the dish was inspired by the Japanese's brick/honey toast. Goodness gracious, no wonder cube toast received the title of Massachusetts' most extravagant and over-the-top dessert. It looks absolutely amazing. And to top it off, you can select from a variety of flavor options.
