If you missed his critically-acclaimed episode of 'No Reservations' that was shot in Maine, here's a snapshot of everything Bourdain saw, did, and tasted.
Maine is full of old hospitals, forts, mills, prisons and other places that could be haunted. What I want to do is get the TV shows ‘Ghost Adventures’, ‘Ghost Asylum or ‘Ghost Hunters’ up here to investigate a few of these places. What’s cooler than Maine highlighted on TV? So I’ll list my top 10 places. Feel free to add yours to the list.
First of all, you're all going to think I'm nuts after reading this because after a couple of weird things that have happened in our house, I firmly believe the house is haunted. Or at least the bedroom has spirits or energy. Last night, there was another example of strange happenings.
Well, just watched the Travel Channels “Truck Stop Paradise” and yes they did visit Dysart’s just of I-95 in Bangor, Maine. Overall, not bad, they did not go out of their way to make Mainers look like hicks. (So many travel shows do that for some reason) And the food looked great..BUT, I do have a bone to pick with the Travel Channel.
Have you ever been to Dysarts? When I lived in Bangor, it was one of my favorite places to eat. I loved it especially after a late night out. Awesome food and open 24 hours a day. Tomorrow night the restaurant will be featured on ‘Food Paradise’ on the Travel Channel.
