Maine Beer Company Named 'Brewery of The Year'

It's a great win for beer and an even greater win for Maine. The Allagash Brewing Company has been names 'Brewery of The Year' at the Great American Beer Festival.

According to WABI TV 5, Allagash won in the division of breweries that produce 15,000-100,000 barrels per year. According to a post from the Portland-based brewery's Facebook Page,

“Knowing the passion and hard work so many of our fellow breweries put into this industry, we are grateful and humbled to be recognized. We also want to give a shoutout to our entire team for the dedication and determination they’ve put in this year on all fronts.”

The brewery also won silver medals at the festival for its Allagash White and Allagash Tripel beers. According to WABI, Allagash was the only Maine brewery to win any awards at world's largest beer festival.
