Maine Content Creator Nails it With 205th Birthday Tribute
Bubs, Maine just hit 205 years old and she still looks amazing!
Did you know that Maine has been Maine since 1820, and before that was a part of Massachusetts, according to Maine.gov.
Maine being 205 years old is a big deal and definitely deserves to be celebrated and that is exactly what Katie Zarrilli Doyen did.
She is a hilarious Maine-based content creator who put together a perfect tribute for Maine’s big day.

How was Maine celebrated?
In her own viral style, Katie absolutely nails the personalities of Maine’s 16 counties with wicked accuracy.
One moment as Cumberland, asking, “Who wants cake?”—and then going on to list every possible option like “gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, keto, vegan, paleo,” and you get the idea.
Meanwhile, Androscoggin’s over there shoving Moxie into everyone’s face because, of course, it’s from Lisbon.

The whole thing is hilarious, relatable, and totally Maine.
I got a chance to chat with Katie and she told me,
“I’ve had the vision of creating videos where all 16 Counties of Maine come together for a while now and our state’s 205th birthday felt like the perfect occasion to go for it. I absolutely love making this style of video where I transform myself into different characters and I love making Mainers feel proud of our state in the process. I’m both humbled and thrilled at the response this has received…it makes the mess I made in my house for this party totally worth it!”
Maine is awesome, why?
Because we have survived it all, blizzards, evolution, economic strain, storms, heartbreaking moments, and we’re still here and we’re not going anywhere.
Happy 205th, Maine! You don’t look a day over “wicked old.”
