Test Results Are Back in Possible Maine Resident Coronavirus Case
This test marks only the first person in the entire state to be tested for the deadly coronavirus.
According to WABI the Maine Center for Disease Control said on Thursday that the test for coronavirus was returned negative.
For now, this will be the only test that needs to be done. According to the US CDC, no other Maine residents have met the symptoms or criteria that would cause them to need testing.
Outbreak to date, people from 41 different states have been tested for coronavirus. However, only 15 people from 6 states have actually tested positive.
At this time, healthcare providers are mandated to report any patient that has had recent travel to China, or that has had recent exposure to anyone with a confirmed case of coronavirus.
