MaineGeneral Medical Center Gets An “A” Grade
According to the KJ, MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta has earned a top grade from LeapFrog Group, a nonprofit organization that evaluates hospitals.
Their 28 "measure" grading system, which rates hospitals "A" through "F", takes into account safety, quality of care, and resources. Through the years, the hospital's grade has risen. It received "B"s in 2016 and mostly "A"s in 2018.
Additionally, earlier this month, Women’s Choice Awards named the hospital one of the top 100 hospitals for patient experience - the only one in Maine to get that accolade.
And, Waterville' MaineGeneral Medical Center’s Thayer Center for Health received Healthgrade's 2019 Outstanding Patient Experience Award, given to the top 10% of the country's hospitals.
