Many Mainers Will Pay More For Electricity In 2019
According to WGME, CMP customers in southern and central Maine will see higher rates in 2019.
On Monday, the Maine Public Utilities Commission approved an increase from 7.9 cents to 9 cents per kilowatt hour. That's a whopping 14% increase.
The average Central Maine Power customer pays $88 per month. Following the increase, those same customers will pay just over $100 per month!
