Mark Wahlberg is Producing a Movie About the Boston Marathon Bombing
Mark Wahlberg, rapper turned accomplished actor and producer wants to do a movie about the Boston Marathon bombing, entitled, 'Patriots' Day'.The motion picture will tell the story of the marathon bombing seen through the eyes of Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis.
Matt Charman of “Bridge of Spies” fame is writing the screenplay that will tell the story of how they captured the Tsarnaev brothers. Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed in a shootout and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is on trial facing the death penalty for the April 2013 attack that killed three and injured 260.
The docu-drama will be done with the resources of CBS Films with help from their newsmagazine Sunday evening program, '60 Minutes'.
No word of a release date at this time.
