Matt & Lizzy Celebrate First Day @ Downtown Augusta, Maine Studio
Well, it's officially official. Our very first show at the new downtown location is officially in the books.
You may have noticed that this morning's show was a little different than others. We weren't talking on the air quite as much as we were working on getting everything sounding just right.
Between the microphones, the new digital phone system and learning what all these cool colorful buttons do, we were pretty busy behind the scenes ironing out the 'kinks'. Big shout out to our guy 'Corporate Cory' for all the hard work he's been putting in.
It was awesome being in the studios behind the laundromat in the alley at the old Kmart plaza and all, but man are these new digs absolutely fire. For starters, just being able to SEE out of our studio and out into the world is an absolute game-changer.
I lost count of how many people were waving and/or beeping as they drove by this morning. How cool is that? And, considering it was a pretty slow traffic day in Augusta because of the snow and holiday, I can't wait to see what a 'normal' day will bring.
What's more, is that we're finally living up to our company's name- Townsquare Media. We have finally become part of Augusta's town square as we have made the move into the heart of downtown.
Lizzy and I can't wait to see what new adventures await us in our new home and we can't wait to be that much closer to all of the great events that are always taking place in and around Water Street.
And a reminder, in case you don't already know, our new studios are at 226 Water Street across from State Lunch and right next door to the Whiskey Kitchen. If you're ever going by during our show, and the blinds are open, make sure you give us a vigorous wave and a smile.
Or, if Lizzy has said something that ticked you off, feel free to give her the bird. Just don't tell her I said that okay? Blame Cooper Fox.
