Traditionally the Miles For Mills 5K event takes place on Memorial Day and for this year that is when they are focusing on it but you can do it anytime and since it is virtual you can do it anywhere.  In fact, you have until the end of the year to fundraise for this event.

According to WABI, you can sign up now and get started with your fundraising.  They will even have some fun incentives for those who meet certain levels.  Show you did your 5K with a photo and tag @Travismillsfoundation on Facebook and Instagram, and use the hashtags #WeRunToRemember and #MilesforMills2021.

If you would like to donate on your own or just do the fundraising part…the is ok too!  At the top of the events page, there is a button to make a donation.

To do the 5K it is easy to sign up on the event page as an individual, join a team or create a team.

The Travis Mills Foundationsupports post 9/11 recalibrated veterans and their families through long-term programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation.  That rest and relaxation happen at the very beautiful and fully adapted retreat in Belgrade Lakes.

Who is Travis Mills?  Travis is a guy worth knowing. He is a charming, witty man.  He is a husband and father. He is a man who served his country.  Travis is a man who was injured in 2012 when he stepped on an IED while serving in Afghanistan and lost parts of both legs and both arms. His journey from that time has led to his new mission to benefit other post 9/11 veterans injured on active duty or as a result of their services.
