Mother Moose Gives Birth in Store Parking Lot [VIDEO]

Shoppers at a Lowe’s Home Improvement in Alaska had a nice little surprise recently. They witnessed a mother moose giving birth to a calf right in the store’s parking lot.

Lowe’s employees and security from the shopping center blocked off a section of the parking lot that created a safe zone around the mother, as a crowd gathered. Also, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game were on standby, just in case the animals needed assistance.

The mother moose and newborn spent several hours in the parking lot, then simply walked away.
