Mother’s Nightmare Turns to Relief: Missing Toddler Found by Maine Warden K-9
Here’s a heart pounding moment happening right here in Maine that could’ve ended in tragedy.
The story begins on Tripp Lane in Jay when a mama was outside doing her chores with her young two-year-old daughter.
Then, in a horrible instant, she noticed her baby was gone, according to a report put out by WGME.
She panicked, like any mother would, and quickly called 911. This took place around 11am and the response was massive! Fourteen Maine Game Wardens as well as two K-9 teams came to search.
They all sprang into action and among them were Game Warden Jake Voter and his K-9 partner, Koda.
At around 1:15PM, the duo discovered that about 300 yards from the home, in thick, brush, the missing child was found.

Aside from a few minor scrapes, she was unharmed.
"Warden Voter and K-9 Koda did an excellent job locating this young toddler in the thick woods where she was hidden by the brush. Given the child’s age, it was important to get multiple searchers here quickly."
Said the Maine Game Warden Sergeant, Scott Thrasher via WGME.
