Can you imagine, just hanging out in your house, minding your own business and then all of a sudden, boom, a bear. I know, I can't even.

According to WGME, this really happened to a family in New Hampshire. I am wondering if it was a Goldie Locks situation where they just wanted to find a bed that was comfy?

Well, let me break it down for you and explain what happened. Arlee Giannini was at home, along with her son recently when suddenly her son said ,

Mom, there's a bead in our living room

She told WGME, that this curious and trespassing bear broke right into their garage on Monday night. Arlee was about to go to sleep when this happened.

Their dog, "Flint" start barking at the bear as he was making his way through the living room.

Arleen started screaming,

Get out of the house! Get out of the house!

She then called 911 and moved the dogs upstairs, safely and the bear headed back towards the garage.

All of a sudden I hear silence, so I slowly opened the door just to see if the bear is gone,

No, the bear is sitting on an antique car that my husband is going to refurbish.

Wow! Seems like for a moment they thought the bear was gone, but no, he was sitting atop of a car in the garage. And then the most unimaginable thing happened when the bear started to charge at the garage door.

As she had opened the door, the bear noticed, and that's the bear charged.

According to WGME she said,

He tore this down, ripped that, you can see the claw marks on the door of him trying to get back into the house while my son and I are pushing on the door to prevent it, In the moment, that was scary. Like the scariest moment of your life maybe. Time just stops, your adrenaline kicks in, time stops and your main focus is, ‘How to get the bear out of my house?

I can't begin to imagine hearing the nose of a bear trying to claw through a door to get into my house where my loved ones where. As the article states, the bear was the garage for about 20 minutes in all and while he was having his fit, he tore everything in the garage apart.

Arlee assumes that the bear had smelt some garlic that was in the trash from dinner the night before.

It is important to know that if you do have an encounter with a bear, according to New Jersey Government,

To scare the bear away, make loud noises by yelling, banging pots and pans or using an airhorn. Make yourself look as big as possible by waving your arms.

I hope this doesn't happen to any other families and it's good to know that they were safe and unharmed at the end of this scary experience.
