According to WGME, the first "insect meal" in Maine was served at a Portland restaurant on Monday.

Some of the buggy options at Bao Bao Dumpling House included vegetables with toasted crickets and chili vinaigrette and Jasmine rice with bacon and garlicky meal worms.

Unfortunately, the creepy, crawly dishes are not going to be added to the menu.  They were part of a one night special intended to raise awareness about the need for new protein options as the Earth's population continues to rise.
