I’ve had several people rave about a place called Ancho Honey so I headed down the St. George peninsula to check it out myself. The food did not disappoint and the drive was beautiful.

Ancho Honey is located at 6 Wallston Road in Tenants Harbor and has a sign to welcome you.

Upon entering I was greeted with a cheerful interior offering various local food delights.

There was a small seating area to the left but to the right was the place I was looking for! The kitchen and the menu offerings for the day.

I ordered the brisket twister and my companion ordered the big mac. Both were cooked to perfection and my companion stated his was “dope”.

Road Trip - Tenants Harbor

If you have room for dessert, make a stop at Sugar Tree Bakery. It is located at 15 Hartsneck Road in Tenants Harbor and the farm stand is open Friday through Sunday. I was hoping for a whoopie pie but they were sold out. I settled for a yummy almond raspberry muffin and a cookie that was a wonderful mixture of chocolate and coconut

You can also order custom cakes that will not disappoint and they do offer catering services as well. Remember to sometimes opt for the road less traveled and support our local businesses.
