According to a report on centralmaine.com, one person suffered a gunshot wound during a fight on Mount Vernon Avenue on Feb. 2.The story said that, according to the Augusta police, an unnamed man was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center for treatment for a wounded arm. He was treated and released, according to police.

The report said police have arrested two people as a result of the investigation of the incident, which is still ongoing. Police said Anthony George Perry, 50, of Augusta, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and Nathan S. Bernheisel, 35, of Gardiner was arrested on outstanding warrants and additional charges of furnishing scheduled drugs and failure to provide a correct name, address or date of birth. The report said both men are being held at the Kennebec County Jail.

Police still are investigating the incident.
