The Bonny Eagle School District confirms that a school bus was involved in a crash with a student Tuesday morning in Standish.

According to WGME, the incident occurred on Northeast Road, prompting authorities to shut down the roadway between Route 114 and Moody Road while emergency crews responded. The closure caused traffic delays in the area as first responders worked at the scene.

At this time, officials have not released details about the extent of any injuries or the circumstances that led to the crash. The school district says it is cooperating with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as they investigate what happened, the news station reported.

Parents and residents are being asked to avoid the area while the investigation continues. A CBS13 news crew is en route to the scene, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
