I wrote this 2 years ago when she was turning 26, but every word is still true! Happy birthday to my lovely fiance and soon-to-be wife, Keri, as she celebrates 26 years of life today! 3 of which have been with me! I know, I can't believe it either.

As I strode through the parking lot to the Moose studios this morning, I was taken by the view of the dome on out state house so I took a little pic and I wrote a little verse....

I'm sitting here at home alone tonight when a breeze, a chilly one, blows through the window. It's 7 o'clock and getting dark. I remember, like yesterday, anticipating the longest day of the year, when it would be daylight until almost 9pm. What happened?

As the years go by, we tend to take more time to reflect. Reflection is good. It gives us perspective. For me, in this case, it makes me appreciate the heart of a child that much more because I looked at things quite differently.....when I was a boy.

I try to thank veterans for their service whenever I see them, whether it be at a restaurant, in a store or just passing by on the street. Today, ALL Americans should take time to thank a veteran, wherever you see them. Without their unselfish service, none of us would be walking around, enjoying the freedom we do. It is for them I've written and send this tribute...

I was leaving the radio station to run an errand after the show this morning and next to the building, just sitting there, were these two items that I just know some child was missing. I wondered about these two things. Maybe to excess. Read my little poem or listen to it and decide whether or not I should bring my imagination down a notch or two.
