Okay, so there have been mumblings, murmurs if you will, about this one dessert that is ever-so gently creating a crack in the universe.

Where? At Whiskey Kitchen on Water Street, in Augusta Maine and my friend, Ashley wouldn’t stop raving about it.

It's a cookie. But not just any cookie.

I thought she might be exaggerating because how good could one cookie be? That good.

This is by far and wide, the best cookie you’ll ever eat in your whole entire life.

I can say that with full confidence now that I have experienced it. Take a gander below.

The Hype Is Real: The Best Cookie in Augusta

Served in a hot cast-iron skillet, the cookie was thick and perfectly gooey in the center. But the magic didn’t stop there. Oh no, the magic didn’t stop at all.

You know how when you feel you've eaten too much and your taste buds are all set, this doesn't happen when you're diving into this guy. Every single bite: pure bliss I say. 

The cookie came topped with a generous scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream which slowly melted every single one of your sorrows away.

The ice cream melted into the warm cookie beneath and with a gorgeous little drizzle of rich chocolate sauce, it was cascading like a real chocolate waterfall around the sides.  

A Dessert That Redefines Comfort at Whiskey Kitchen

The first bite was pure bliss with the warm, melting chips and cold ice cream.

This cookie created a new taste to the traditional chocolate chip cookie that I can only describe as "heaven on earth."

If one simple cookie can do that for one human being, I say that Whiskey Kitchen is cooking up someone real special.

So, if your aren’t just visiting for there rustic, cozy bar vibe and great drinks, in the capital city of Maine, go for their heavenly cookie that will change your life.
