Join 92 Moose and give the gift of life during the 'Day of Remembrance Blood Drive' Wednesday, Sept.11 at the Augusta Civic Center, 76 Community Drive. The The 8th annual drive will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in an effort to collect nearly 300 pints of blood.

The blood drive is a featured event in Maine’s observation of National Preparedness Month. It's a nationwide effort sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security each September to raise public awareness about the importance of preparing for all types of disasters and to encourage Americans to take action.

Do your part to help replenish our community blood supply. Donors need to be at least 17 (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and not have donated in the last 56 days. There is no upper age limit.
