Once in awhile I go back and check the #1 songs "on this day." I haven't done it in some time and this being a "TBT," here we go. The #1 songs for March 5th according to Billboard from 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005.

The number one song on this day back in 1985 is from Reo Speedwagon, "I Can't Fight This Feeling." As a 13 year old I was into ZZ Top and Bryan Adams so this song kind of made me gag when I heard it, but hearing it now it brings me back to memories of daydreaming in class about my 7th grade crushes.

In 1990, on this day, the #1 song on the charts and in your hearts was "Escapade" from Janet Jackson. This song brings me back to riding around with friends cranking the radio, that year with JJ, were the hair bands and New Kids on the Block.

On to 1995, the #1 song on this day, was "Take a Bow" by Madonna. When this song reined and looked down on all the others on the grid, I was only weeks past moving away from home so when I hear it now, it kind of makes me feel sad and lonely (even though I'm not).

Fifteen years ago, back in 2000 the #1 song was "Amazed" by Lonestar. I got married in 2000, not "our" song but still a great wedding song. Does it bring you back?
