Deputies in Androscoggin County deputies are getting body cams. Sun Journal reports the county commissioners will spend about  $126,000 equipment and updates the cameras in patrol cars.

Next year, the American Lung Association's Trek Across Maine is getting a new route.  The Sun Journal reports in 2019 the event will start and finish at the old Brunswick Naval Air Station in town. It will start at Brunswick Landing go through Augusta, Auburn, Bath, Belgrade, Freeport and Lewiston. The ride will include overnight stops at Bates College in Lewiston and Colby College in Waterville. Many riders were seeking a change of scenery.
