Stacker pulled together a YouGov Ratings to rank the top 20 burger chains in America based on customer opinions in the third quarter of 2024 and guess what? Maine pops up in this list!

McDonalds, ehem, we all know you can't go wrong with the golden arches. It's literally like coming home. No matter what state you are in, if you see those arches, you immediately feel at home. Whether you're at the Lewiston, Waterville or Portland location, you know you’re getting the same delicious taste of home. 

A Handful of Guys

I’ve been to the Five Guys in Augusta and man, are their burgers big and juicy. They are known for their fresh beef and hand-cut fries.

Classic Drive-in 

Yes, I’m talking about Sonic. It’s retro vibes has a special place in Maine’s heart and the ability to just grab a quick burger without leaving your car, it’s pure magic.

Food Royalty  

My favorite is Burger King. These flame-grilled burgers are iconic. That smokey flavor, we just can’t get enough of.

Bow to The Queen 

The queen of the Maine burger scene has to be Wendy’s. They have fresh, never frozen beef, and those square patties? Legendary. I also love to dip my French fries in my milkshake. I know you do it too.
