Two Central Maine Women Arrested On Manslaughter Charges
According to the Maine State Police, two central Maine women have been arrested on manslaughter charges.
According to a press release put out by Maine Department of Public Safety Spokesman Stephen McCausland, the two were arrested yesterday (Thursday) afternoon following indictments by a Waldo County Grand Jury.
They are Victoria Scott, 24, of Rockport and Tara Shibles of Thorndike, 36.
Scott is charged in the death of Edwin Littlefield,43, who died outside a home in Waldo on February 8.
Shibles is charged in connection with the death of Joyce Woods, 72, of Burnham. Woods died outside her home after an intruder had entered it in the early morning hours of April 2, according to McCausland. In addition to the manslaughter charge, Shibles was also indicted on aggravated criminal trespass and assault, McCausland said.
Both were taken to the Waldo County Jail following their arrests, McCausland said.
