Vassalboro Head-On Likely Result of Teen Falling Asleep at Wheel
According to WABI TV 5, officials say an early-morning head-on crash on Route 201 in Vassalboro was likely the cause of a teenager falling asleep behind the wheel.
Authorities say that a Ford Escape that was being operated by a 16-year-old from West Gardiner when it crossed over the center line and hit an oncoming Jeep Cherokee that was being driven by 47-year-old Corie Willard of Vassalboro, head-on. Drivers of both vehicles were transported to the hospital though their current conditions are unknown.
