From Coat Check to Cher: My Cousin’s Night Working The Victoria Secret Fashion Show
My family is pretty cool in my opinion, I am super proud of all of us. We are made up of actors, artists, super smart business people and we even had a secret agent, suffice it to say, we have many stories babes.
We Greeks have a zest for life and my cousin Chelsea is no different! She's a couple years older than me and I have always looked up to her. She dives into life headfirst and never looks back.
As a background actress, you’ve probably spotted her in some of your favorite TV shows like, The Equalizer with Queen Latifah, Only Murders in The Building, Survival of the Thickest, Succession, Blacklist, And Just Like That, and FBI.
She is from Pennsylvania, like me but currently resides in the big apple, New York. She's a free spirit and loves to adventure into everything.
Every time my Mom catches up with her on the phone, she tells me all about the amazing things Chelsea is doing.
Recently she casually dropped the bombshell that she had worked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Say what?! Every time she shares the experiences she's having with us, we freak out.
Naturally, I was picturing her strutting backstage with all the supermodels, maybe even giving strut tips with Gigi Hadid, because that's how Chelsea is. Turns out, she was the coat check girl.
Listen, it's a coveted position, okay?
But in true Chelsea fashion, she managed to make it the experience of a lifetime.
She was surrounded by celebrities all night, but there was one star that really stood out, Cher. Yes, THE Cher. She told us that Tyga was hanging out with Cher for a while and Cher was with her "cutie boyfriend" and they looked great together.
Apparently, Cher got so close to her, she felt like they were pretty much besties, naturally.
Chelsea attempted to snap a picture to commemorate the “new friendship.”
The result? A blurry shot of Cher’s wig…Okay, so maybe they didn't speak but she definitely caught a flash of fabulousness.
Let me fill you in on why Chelsea seeing Cher was so special.
Chelsea's Mom is my Aunt Cheryl, who has since passed away, and Chelsea shared with me that her mom used to tell her a story about seeing Cher in person.
Chelsea said,
"My favorite thing about seeing Cher was that my mom used to love to tell the story of her being at a stoplight in Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco, California and Sonny & Cher pulled up in a VW Beetle next to her."
Now, 50 years later, Chelsea has her own Cher Sighting.
So in true family legend style, Cher will probably be celebrating Christmas with us all this year.
